Franchisee Friday – Rafik Dhanani

Meet Rafik Dhanani, franchise owner of Edo Japan Seton, Sherpard (130th Ave), and Legacy, in Calgary, AB.

In 2004, Rafik decided to apply for an Edo Japan location at 130th Ave in Calgary. He already owned a Quiznos location in this area. With that experience and location under his belt he began looking for other growth opportunities. Edo had just began rolling out our Street Concept locations and it was the perfect fit! With the success from his Shepard location in Calgary, Rafik decided to expand and opened two more locations in the close neighborhoods of Seton and Legacy.

Rafik found his love for Edo at a very young age. He grew up enjoying Sukiyaki Beef with his family every time they visited South Centre Mall or Chinook Centre, in Calgary. To this day, Sukiyaki Beef is still Rafik’s favorite Edo meal. The love for Edo always stayed within the Family, Rafik’s sister now co-owns one of his locations and his wife frequently will assist expediting in the locations when needed.

Rafik’s team is dedicated and truly care how their locations perform. They take customer service seriously, constantly asking about how they are performing to strive to always improve.
